What a fantastic start to the U13 Girls’ season! The game away against Beaconsfield in the ECB T20 challenge cup almost didn’t happen due to the incessant rain but the girls were not distracted and played through it!
Batting first, each girl gave an excellent performance - the calling was clear, the hits were big and the runs kept coming! The risk-taking kept the parents on the edge of their seats - sometimes hardly daring to watch as they squeezed out every possible run - ending the innings with 128/4.
The fielding was also very good with fast bowling, effective backing-up and efficient teamwork. Girl of the match went to Lexie who bowled out 3 of the opposition in the 3rd over. Beaconsfield were bowled out for 64 after only 12 overs.
