Well, what a great win today from our U9s beating Bradfield by 20-odd runs (once the scorecard had been correctly added up), Bradfield ended up with 249-10 vs WICC 260-4. It was a great team effort both with the bat and ball, with the quick fielding practice before the game really paying off! It was also nice to see all our bowlers keeping the ball straight and reducing the amount of extras (wides and no balls) to a minimum as it really helped keep the opposition score down.
On to the batting, it was evident that our seasoned U9 players have taken onboard what happened last season and didn't go chasing after the wide balls, and miss out on the 2 run bonus for them. All the players defended the stumps well this morning, and it was only a few exceptional balls that got through our defences, which was proved by only losing 4 wickets this week.

This win moves us off the bottom spot and into 4th place in the league, so a big WELL DONE to all that played today and lets go win some more!!
